In late April I had the honor of photographing a fellow photographer and her sweet family while they were visiting the Wilmington area.  I met Melissa about 4 years ago when she shot a wedding I was in and have stayed in contact with her via social media since that time so it was an such a treat to finally see her again in person and meet her sweet sweet family!

So I have a MAJOR crush on The Measure!  Heard of them, no?!?! Why not?!?!  Yes?  Good!  Seriously, The Measure is hands down my favorite girl's clothing line.  Everything is designed and stiched right here in the USA and every single piece of clothing Kiki (the designer/owner) creates seems to scream PHOTOGRAPH ME NOW!!!!  For years I have been following Kiki's work and designs, buying my girls some of her pieces, seeing other photographers create stunning images with her designs, and now I get to count myself as one of the lucky photographers who Kiki trusts to photograph her designs.  I mean how lucky am I?!?!?!?!  Kiki recently sent me the Pocket Full of Ponies dress to photograph and let me tell you the twirl factor alone of the dress is reason enough to buy it for your little one!  Randal Jean loved getting to dance around and be photographed in this dress.  This comfortable yet twirly dress I know will be a staple in her wardrobe for a very long time as most the pieces from The Measure are designed to go from dress to tunic and to be worm with a shirt underneath in cooler weather.  I am already planning how Randal Jean will wear it in the fall too!!!!

Y'all !!!!!!  Our baby girl graduated preschool last night!  This is such a bittersweet time of parenthood realizing our oldest will be going off to kindergarten in the fall.  She is more than ready to go to a new school and soak in all that they have to teach her, and seeing her so excited about this new chapter in her childhood makes my mama heart want to burst.  But as happy as I am to bear witness to her excitement I am a little sad to once again come to the realization of just how quickly infancy and toddlerhood pass by.

First day of preschool vs. graduation!

The graduation program began with singing, prayer, and the Pledge of Allegiance.  There is nothing much cuter than 70 Pre-K kids saying the pledge ;)

Then it got R-E-A-L!  The kiddos put on their cap and gowns and got to walk across the stage to recevie their preschool diplomas!
